This event was organized as a part of the youth convention planned by the UGC with the support of SCORE project of the USAID. The three-day event was held at the Miani Institute of Technology from 16 to 18 July 2024. 05 students from the Faculty of Arts (see the list below) took part in the event.

The students were trained by the Directors of the SRC and a training specialist attached to the SCORE (USAID); Mr. Nuwan Subasinghe on conducting social reconciliation work and the skills required to work with the community. They had a cultural night and took part in interactive sessions with the students from all other state universities. At the last day, they were given the task to assess the impact of a reconciliation programme conducted in Santhapuram, Kilinochchi by the SCORE, USAID. They have already had a meeting with Mr. Niththilan from SCORE team who has coordinated the programme and held a field visit and discussed with the inland fishermen society. They will be doing this research work and submit a report on 15 September 2024.
