The event was held on 29th and 30th March 2024 at the University of Ruhuna. The cricket matches between student (both men and women) and staff teams (mixed gender) were organized by both the universities as a part to encourage the understandings between the two universities. The SRCs of both the universities were instrumental in organizing this grand event where the event sponsorship was obtained by the University of Ruhuna. The student (men) teams played a hard-ball cricket match while mixed men team and women teams along with the staff teams played soft ball cricket matches. The event was graced by many scholars and community heads in the region. It was very successfully conducted and the University of Jaffna will host the next event in Jaffna.
